Advocate for ethnic cleansing of the Jews still working for Reuters

Reuters correspondent Maayan Lubell, who personally advocates for the ethnic cleansing of all Jews from their homes and property in Judea and Samaria (the "West Bank") reports on an agreement between the Israeli government and residents of the community of Migron for the latter to relocate to another settlement nearby:
(Reuters) - Jewish settlers signed an agreement with the Israeli government on Sunday to leave the biggest illegal outpost in the occupied West Bank and move to a nearby site after months of negotiations to avoid their forced removal.
In a relatively brief piece of 463 words, Lubell manages to demonstrate her inane logic, quotes as an authoritative source on Jewish settlements a political group convicted in court of libeling settlers, and asserts one of the most pernicious lies surrounding the Middle East conflict.

Let's begin with Lubell's logic (or lack thereof).  She writes:
The long dispute over Migron has revealed a contradiction at the heart of the Jewish state - despite publicly endorsing the notion of an independent Palestinian nation, successive Israeli governments have nurtured settlements on the very land that the Palestinians claim as theirs.
There is no contradiction between endorsement by successive Israeli governments of a Palestinian Arab state in the territories and the support and protection of Jewish communities in the area.  Jews are the aboriginal people on the land and lived there for centuries before being ethnically cleansed by the Arab Legion under the command of Transjordan in the 1948 Arab-Israeli war.  In the modern era, much of the land was purchased and titled to individual Jews who were subsequently chased off or killed by marauding Arabs.

Notwithstanding this history of persecution and expulsion at the hands of the Arabs, most Israeli Jews are willing to accept a 22nd Arab state on public and private Jewish land in the territories, but not if it means further ethnic cleansing of their communities.  Since Jewish settlements reside on a mere 2 percent of total land in the area, it is utterly absurd (and utterly racist) for Lubell to suggest that Jews living there must be removed for a Palestinian state to come into being.

But that is the inane logic of the radical left in Israel.

Lubell then gives full voice to Peace Now on the matter:
A spokeswoman for the anti-settlement advocacy group Peace Now called the agreement "a disgrace".
"This agreement is no less than a disgrace. The government of Israel is actually saying 'We will not evict Migron, we will not do what the Supreme Court told us. And we will give in to any settlers' threat ... It sends a message that Israel (does not want) peace (and will) build more settlements," Peace Now's Hagit Ofran said.
What Lubell conceals from her readers is that Peace Now is not simply an "anti-settlement advocacy group" but a fringe organization convicted of publishing false and defamatory information about Jews living in the territories.

Seeking comment from Peace Now on the rights of Jews to live in Judea and Samaria would be like seeking comment from the Ku Klux Klan on the rights of African-Americans to live in Mississippi.

But such is the institutional mindset of Reuters correspondents.

Finally, Lubell perpetuates a piece of pernicious propaganda by asserting that:
While the United Nations deems all Jewish settlements in the region to be illegal, Israel backs 120 official settlements, home to about 310,000 people.
In fact, Jewish settlements in the territories are entirely legal in international law per the League of Nations adoption of the San Remo Agreement and Article 80 of the United Nations Charter.

Maayan Lubell is a racist and bald-faced liar.

The question is:

Why is she still employed at a public company committed in writing to a policy of integrity, independence and freedom from bias?

"The Palestinian Independence Movement"

That's how Reuters propagandist and serial liar Mohammed Assadi describes Fatah and Hamas in this story about the impending political reconciliation between the Palestinian factions.  For those not familiar with the immutable tenets of the two terror groups, here are a few salient extracts from the Hamas Charter:
For our struggle against the Jews is extremely wide-ranging and grave, so much so that it will need all the loyal efforts we can wield, to be followed by further steps and reinforced by successive battalions from the multifarious Arab and Islamic world, until the enemies are defeated and Allah’s victory prevails [...]
The prophet, prayer and peace be upon him, said: The time will not come until Muslims will fight the Jews (and kill them); until the Jews hide behind rocks and trees, which will cry: O Muslim! there is a Jew hiding behind me, come on and kill him!
And the Fatah Constitution:
Goals
Article (12): Complete liberation of Palestine, and eradication of Zionist economic, political, military and cultural existence [...]
Method
Article (19): Armed struggle is a strategy and not a tactic, and the Palestinian Arab People's armed revolution is a decisive factor in the liberation fight and in uprooting the Zionist existence, and this struggle will not cease unless the Zionist state is demolished and Palestine is completely liberated.
"The Palestinian independence movement".

As President Barack Obama might ask, "you think we're stupid?"

Reuters in a time warp; repeats the Big Lie

In a story about the latest "aid" ship to head for Gaza -- financed by Libyan dictator Moammar Gaddafi's son -- Reuters is still characterizing the Strip as "blockaded".  This despite the fact that all manner of goods other than weapons and war materiel are moving freely across the Israel-Gaza border.

More appalling, is Reuters continued reliance on the Big Lie:
The United Nations says the blockade has led to a humanitarian crisis for the territory's 1.5 million people, of whom about 1 million depend to some extent on regular supplies of U.N. and other foreign aid brought in overland after Israeli inspection.
The United Nations has absolutely not asserted that there is a "humanitarian crisis" in Gaza; indeed, it has stated just the opposite.

Perhaps the people of Israel should consider filing suit against Reuters for damages associated with the agency's unremitting blood libels.

Still no humanitarian crisis in Gaza; Reuters falls back to secondary sources

Reuters correspondent Yara Bayoumy, who fatuously characterizes the jihadists aboard the Mavi Marmara as "activists" while fastidiously referring to the "unsubstantiated Israeli allegations" of the transfer of Scud missiles from Syria to Hezbollah (right!), apparently has no difficulty parroting the Big Lie reportedly advanced by Filippo Grandi, the head of the UN Relief Works Agency:
Israel denies there is a humanitarian crisis in Gaza, as Palestinians, UNRWA officials and rights advocates maintain.
Notice that Reuters has backed-off the false assertion, appearing in several of its previous stories, that the United Nations itself had accused Israel of causing a humanitarian crisis in Gaza.  The news agency is now relying instead on the opinions of "rights advocates" and Filippo Grandi who has also hysterically referred to Gaza as "the world's largest outdoor prison".

With all but weapons and war materiel now making its way through the border with Israel, we expect Reuters will next be consulting with Ismail Haniyeh and Lauren Booth for their views on whether there is a humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Jeffrey Heller repeats the Big Lie

Reuters continues with its calumnies against Israel:
The United Nations says the Israeli blockade has caused a humanitarian crisis in Gaza, an allegation Israel denies.
No.  The United Nations has said "there is no humanitarian problem in Gaza".

With Reuters' doctoring of photos exposed yet again, one would think the agency would set in place a disciplined editorial regime to ensure truth and accuracy in its Middle East reporting.  Unfortunately, one would be underestimating the power and persistence of Reuters arrogance and contempt for Israel.

Reuters repeats lie that Gaza is facing humanitarian crisis

Repetition is a classic propaganda technique designed to lead the reader to an hypnotically-induced acceptance of the propagandist's message.  Repetition combined with mendacity has potentially catastrophic consequences as millions of people can be led to believe, and react to, malicious disinformation and calumnies.  Joseph Goebbels understood this -- as does Reuters.

In a story on US Vice-President Joe Biden commenting on the Gaza flotilla incident, Reuters correspondent Ross Colvin repeats the Big Lie:
The United Nations says the blockade has led to a humanitarian crisis among the territory's 1.5 million people.
No.  The United Nations has said just the opposite.  Viewed objectively as well, there is no humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

UPDATE 2:15 PM: Reuters Bureau Chief Alastair Macdonald and Editor-in-charge Jeffrey Heller repeat the lie in another story here.
